Congo and Namibia sign cooperation deals in health and culture
The Republic of the Congo and Namibia have signed two revised cooperation agreements in Brazzaville, focusing on health, culture, and the arts. The agreements, signed on 20 August, aim to deepen bilateral relations and fulfill commitments made during the fifth session of the Congo-Namibia Grand Joint Intergovernmental Commission held in February.
The health agreement is intended to facilitate training projects and explore potential cooperation in the production of medicines. While the framework has been established, specific timelines and financial figures have not yet been determined.
In addition to the diplomatic signings, the two nations held a bilateral business forum to encourage economic partnerships and trade between private enterprises. A Namibian delegation is also expected to visit the Congo to focus on the education sector, specifically targeting the Loudima Technical and Vocational Training Institute.
