Congo Audit Court approves 2025 budget execution

The Court of Audit and Budgetary Discipline has issued a favorable assessment regarding the execution of the Republic of the Congo’s 2025 State budget. During a hearing in Brazzaville, Court rapporteur Emmanuel Kamba informed the National Assembly’s Committee on the Economy, Finance and Oversight of Budget Execution that the government managed its allocated resources “in good conditions.”

The assessment is a procedural prerequisite for the National Assembly. Lawmakers are required to adopt the settlement law for the 2025 fiscal year before they can proceed to examine and vote on the draft State budget for 2027. This process ensures parliamentary accountability by requiring a review of past fund management before authorizing future spending.
