Congo-Brazzaville cement producers agree to maintain current prices

The three primary cement producers in Congo-Brazzaville—Dangote, Sonocc, and Forspak—have agreed to maintain current regulated prices following a meeting with the Minister of Trade, Supplies and Consumer Affairs on August 19 in Brazzaville. Although the manufacturers had requested a price increase, they have accepted a status quo regarding the 2024 official price schedule for the time being.

Cement prices vary across the country based on the distance from production units. In Brazzaville, a 50kg bag remains priced at 4,900 FCFA, while in Pointe-Noire it is 4,700 FCFA. Prices increase in more remote northern regions, reaching 5,500 FCFA in Ouesso. Other regional prices include 4,850 FCFA in Kintélé, 4,150 FCFA in Dolisie, and 4,000 FCFA in Madingou.
