Congo IGF launches systemic control seminar

The Inspection Générale des Finances (IGF) of the Republic of Congo held a two‑day seminar on 15‑16 July 2026 at the Galerie La Fontaine in the Gombe district. The event, titled “Towards a modern, preventive and systemic control for good governance of public enterprises”, introduced the IGF’s new systemic‑control approach, a key element of its 2026‑2028 strategic plan.

IGF chief Christophe Bitasimwa Bahii emphasized that the method aims to anticipate risks, improve performance and promote integrity in public‑sector management, moving beyond fault‑finding to support and equip public‑enterprise leaders. Speakers included President of the Conseil supérieur du Portefeuille Norbert Nkubu Eluna and COPIREP secretary‑general Alex Nkusu, who discussed reforms of state‑owned companies. The seminar also highlighted digitalisation and reliable data as essential tools for modern public finance governance.
