Congolese internationals perform strongly in European leagues
Congolese international footballers achieved significant success across various European and Middle Eastern leagues this weekend.
In Switzerland, Samuel Essende scored twice for Young Boys in a 3-2 victory against Servette, bringing his league total to 10 goals. Oscar Kabwit also scored for Lucerne in a 5-1 win over Grasshopper, while Faveurdi Bongeli provided an assist.
In France, Merveille Kanjinga scored the decisive goal for Paris Saint-Germain in a 1-0 win against Nantes. Additionally, Kévin Pedro scored for Saint-Étienne during a 2-2 draw with Metz.
Other notable performances included Samuel Moutoussamy scoring for Atromitos in Greece, William Balikwisha finding the net for OH Louvain in Belgium, and Jonathan Bolingi scoring for Jwaya SC in Lebanon. Paris Maghoma also recorded an assist for Norwich in England, despite their 3-4 loss to Bolton.
