The second edition of the World Music and Tourism Festival (FMMT) is scheduled to take place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, from October 8 to October 10, 2026. Organized in collaboration with UN Tourism, the three-day event aims to promote the DRC as a premier destination for cultural tourism and attract international investment. The festival lineup includes prominent African music legends such as Mbilia Bel, Ferré Gola, Werrason, and Sam Mangwana.

In a related musical event, Congolese icon Koffi Olomide is scheduled to perform in Gulu City, Uganda, on October 9, 2026. The concert, held at the Northern Pearl Hotel Garden, features Congolese rumba and soukous and is supported by Bell Lager through its Obafest platform. The performance will include a lineup of Ugandan artists such as Cindy and Eezzy, aiming to bring international musical experiences to Northern Uganda during the Independence Day holiday weekend.
