Congonhas Airport: Gol flight aborted after police intervention
A Gol flight bound for Brasília was forced to return to the apron at Congonhas Airport in São Paulo on Friday following an order from the Federal Police. The incident occurred while the aircraft was taxiing for takeoff.
Three individuals were arrested in flagrante for allegedly using falsified documents during the boarding process. According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), two detainees presented forged documents, while a third person was identified as the provider of the falsifications. Six people were questioned by police, three of whom were released due to a lack of evidence of involvement.
Social media speculation suggested the detainees were part of the technical team for funk artist DJ Arana. The artist addressed the situation on social media, stating that the incident was a “misunderstanding” and that his scheduled shows would proceed as planned under legal supervision. The airport operator, Aena, reported that the police action did not impact airport operations, and Gol stated it is collaborating with investigators.
