Congonhas prepares for 2026 religious jubilee and tourism forum

Congonhas, Minas Gerais, is preparing for significant religious and tourism events in 2026. The city will host the 245th Jubilee of Senhor Bom Jesus de Matosinhos, which will feature the first-ever visit of the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima, sent directly from the Sanctuary of Fatima in Portugal.

Additionally, the city will host the 8th edition of the National Forum of Religious Tourism (FNDETUR) from November 24 to 26, 2026. The forum aims to discuss governance, sustainable development, and transformative experiences within the religious tourism sector. The event is expected to include international participants, such as representatives from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima in Portugal and the World Religious Tourism Network in Chile.
