Congress appoints election War Room chairpersons in five Indian states

The Indian National Congress has appointed chairpersons for its election War Rooms in five states to oversee campaign operations and coordination ahead of upcoming Assembly elections. The appointments, approved by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, take immediate effect.

The designated chairpersons are Sachin Yadav for Uttar Pradesh, Kannan Gopinathan for Punjab, Imroz Khan for Goa, Biswaranjan Mohanty for Manipur, and Krishan Satrod for Uttarakhand. These War Rooms are intended to serve as central hubs for campaign planning, communication management, and political monitoring.

In related developments, All India Congress Committee General Secretary K. C. Venugopal reported high-level meetings with leaders from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. These discussions aimed to mobilize support for an INDIA Bloc rally scheduled for November 1 in New Delhi regarding alleged ‘Vote Chori’.
