Congress blames Modi government over NEET paper leak

The Indian National Congress has criticised the Narendra Modi administration for its handling of recent exam paper leaks, arguing that designating fast‑track courts is insufficient. Party secretary Jaya Ram Ramesh cited a leak of a postgraduate exam paper in Odisha that was circulated on WhatsApp, and called for a broader, honest dialogue on the commercialization and corruption in the education system.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi met families of students who died by suicide after the NEET paper leak, saying the prime minister should apologise rather than seek forgiveness. He reiterated the party’s stance that stronger punishments and special courts will not solve the underlying problems in the nation’s examination framework.
