Congress launches ‘Save Your Vote, Save Your Nation’ campaign

The Indian National Congress has launched the ‘Save Your Vote, Save Your Nation’ campaign to address allegations of large-scale voter deletions from electoral rolls. The initiative aims to visit villages across India, including the Khandesh region, to identify voters whose names have been removed and assist them in re-registering. This campaign is scheduled to run through November 25.

In conjunction with this movement, the opposition alliance plans a major protest at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1. The demonstration seeks the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar following allegations of misconduct and violations of electoral rules during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, have accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of ‘stealing’ votes, amid reports that over 130 million names may have been removed from draft lists.
