Congress leader criticizes BJP over Jantar Mantar protest de-notification

Congress leader Balmoor Venkat has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Election Commission of India following the de-notification of Jantar Mantar as a designated venue for protests and demonstrations in Delhi.

Venkat accused the authorities of attempting to suppress public voices and deprive citizens of their right to express grievances. He noted that Rahul Gandhi has been consistently fighting against such measures in the capital.

The decision to de-notify Jantar Mantar follows recommendations from a Ministry of Home Affairs committee tasked with identifying alternative locations. The Delhi Police has designated Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground in East Delhi as the new official sites for organizing protests.
