Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge Demands Amit Shah Resign Over Student Protest

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge used his social‑media platform to demand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi secure the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah. Kharge cited the government's use of lathis and pellet‑guns against student demonstrators at Jantar‑Mantar, the reversal of a promise not to file cases, and alleged intimidation of protestors.

CJP founder Abhijeet Deepke also criticised the government's response, calling for an apology from Modi for the police beating of girls during the protests and questioning whether the cases filed against students and IT cell members will be withdrawn. Both statements reflect mounting political pressure over the handling of the student movement and police actions.
