Congress of the State of Durango modernizes parliamentary information systems

The Congress of the State of Durango has modernized its Parliamentary Information System to improve the speed, security, and efficiency of plenary sessions. The update involved replacing computing equipment that was approximately 13 years old and implementing new tools developed in-house by the legislature’s own IT department.

According to IT Director Miguel Fuentes Leal, the new voting system operates on a web platform that allows for updates and configurations without relying on external providers or incurring additional licensing costs. The system includes features such as deputy attendance confirmation and automated procedures for managing the order of the day, which aims to reduce processing times during sessions.
