Congress says Ram Mandir donation theft will not be election issue

Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid told the media that the party will keep the Ram Mandir issue out of the Uttar Pradesh assembly election campaign, emphasizing that the temple is a matter of faith rather than politics. He called for the Supreme Court to ensure that any irregularities in the donation process are addressed through proper legal channels.

Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi, speaking at a press conference, accused the Modi government and the temple trust of a coordinated theft of donation money at the Ram Mandir. He alleged that the looting was carried out despite CCTV surveillance, demanded accountability from senior officials named in the case, and urged a transparent, independent investigation, warning that public confidence could be eroded without it.
