Congress to hold massive protest in Delhi over voter list irregularities

The Indian National Congress has announced a major rally and protest at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 1 as part of its ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao’ (Save Votes, Save Nation) campaign. The movement is a response to allegations of widespread irregularities in voter lists and the removal of millions of names from electoral rolls.

During a press conference in Akola, former Union Minister Arun Yadav accused the Election Commission of acting under the influence of the central government. He stated that the agency responsible for conducting impartial elections is facing serious allegations of misconduct, yet no action has been taken by the government.

In Satna, local Congress leaders held preparatory meetings to organize a large delegation of workers to travel to Delhi for the event. Party officials described the upcoming protest as a decisive battle to protect democratic rights and combat what they term as ‘vote theft’ in several BJP-ruled states.
