Congress to launch Nyay Yatra in Uttarakhand on October 22

Congress MP Kumari Sailja has announced that the party will conduct a ‘Nyay Yatra’ across Uttarakhand from October 22 to October 25. The march aims to address several critical issues, including women's safety, corruption, unemployment, and migration from mountainous regions.

A primary focus of the protest is seeking justice for Ankita Bhandari. Sailja has called for an impartial investigation into the allegations and viral audio clips related to the case, expressing concern that recent political appointments could potentially influence the investigation.

Additionally, the Congress party is demanding transparency regarding alleged irregularities in mid-day meals, national sports funding, ration distribution, illegal mining, and land transactions. The party's planned demonstrations also include a siege of the state assembly on October 27 and 28, followed by a conference in Delhi on November 1.
