Congresso Nacional implements mandatory online scheduling for visits

Starting Monday, October 28, visits to the National Congress in Brasília will require mandatory online scheduling through an official digital platform. This new system aims to modernize visitor flow, reduce waiting times—which previously reached up to one hour during peak periods—and prevent crowding within the institutional spaces.

Visitors must register via the official portal to select a date and time, providing personal details to receive a confirmation QR code. On the day of the visit, a photo ID and the reservation code are required for check-in. While the primary method is online, on-site scheduling via mobile phones or provided tablets may be available if space permits in the current group.

The free tours run from Thursday to Monday, including weekends and holidays, from 9:00 to 17:00. Groups depart every 30 minutes for a tour lasting approximately 50 minutes. The itinerary includes the plenaries of the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate, as well as various halls and cultural works by artists such as Athos Bulcão, Di Cavalcanti, and Burle Marx.
