Congresso Nacional launches new online booking for guided tours

The Brazilian National Congress has launched a new online scheduling system for its guided tours in Brasília. The digital platform, part of the ‘Visite o Congresso’ program, allows visitors to reserve dates and times in advance to reduce waiting periods and better manage visitor flow.

Guided tours are free and take approximately 50 minutes, covering key architectural and historical sites such as the Plenary halls, the various colored Salões (Black, White, Green, and Blue), and the Senate’s ‘Tunnel of Time’. The tours highlight the iconic architecture designed by Oscar Niemeyer and various artworks.

Visits are available from Thursday to Monday, including holidays, between 9:00 and 17:00, with groups departing every 30 minutes. The system also supports accessibility needs, such as Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) and mediation in English, Spanish, and French, provided they are requested during registration.

Additionally, the Senate’s ‘e-Cidadania’ portal continues to facilitate democratic participation, with several citizen-submitted ideas successfully transitioning into formal legislative projects in 2026 after reaching the required threshold of 20,000 public supports.
