Congstar and Marcant release democracy hotline recordings

Telecommunications provider congstar and Marcant have released recordings from a democracy hotline established to combat disinformation. The initiative, part of the ‘Für mehr FAIRständnis’ project, operated from September 3 to September 6 to assist citizens during state elections in Saxony-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and Berlin.

The hotline received more than 500 constructive submissions from individuals seeking guidance on navigating manipulative political content and disinformation in social networks and personal circles. To ensure continued access to these insights, the organizations released recordings of personal callbacks on social media on September 15, marking the Day of Democracy.
