CONI honors Italian athletes and SSC Napoli at Collare d’Oro ceremony

The Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) held its Collare d’Oro ceremony at the Giulio Onesti Olympic Training Center in Rome to honor outstanding achievements in Italian sports. The event celebrated athletes and organizations that excelled during the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and various world championships.

Key recipients included swimmer Viola Scotto di Carlo for her success at the Deaflympics, and biathlete Lisa Vittozzi, who received a Diploma of Honor for her historic gold medal. Tennis players such as Matteo Berrettini, Simone Bolelli, and Andrea Vavassori were also recognized.

SSC Napoli was awarded the Collare d’Oro to mark the club’s centenary. President Aurelio De Laurentiis accepted the honor, noting the club’s role as a symbol for younger generations and its impact on the city’s identity. De Laurentiis also announced that a film documenting the club’s hundred-year history is currently in post-production.
