CONICET and UNT announce leadership search for ILAV institute

The National University of Tucumán (UNT) and the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) have announced a public competition to select a new Director for the Institute of Research in Light, Environment, and Vision (ILAV). The application period for this position runs from August 31 to October 2, 2026.

In related scientific developments, researcher Yanina Agnella, a doctoral student at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI) and CONICET, has been awarded a scholarship from the Williams Foundation through the Ciencia 2026 – Intercambio Labs program. Agnella will conduct research at the Institute of Histology and Embryology of Mendoza (IHEM) to study SEPT9 methylation analysis for the early detection of colorectal cancer.
