Conil de la Frontera Health Center doctor assaulted during shift
A doctor on duty was physically assaulted at the Conil de la Frontera Health Center in the province of Cádiz. Following the incident, the Bahía de Cádiz-La Janda Primary Care District, part of the Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS), activated its Aggression Prevention and Care Plan.
Local health authorities and the Territorial Delegation of Health and Consumption have expressed support for the victim and condemned the violence. A protest against the assault is scheduled to take place this Friday at 1:00 PM at the entrance of the health center.
The SAS prevention plan includes measures such as the appointment of guide professionals, rapid communication channels for victims, psychological support, and staff training to manage potential violence. Additionally, a provincial commission in Cádiz works to identify improvements to reduce physical and verbal attacks against healthcare professionals.
