CONMEBOL and AUF announce upcoming football and futsal tournament draws

The CONMEBOL Sub20 Futsal 2026 group stage draw is scheduled for August 14, 2026, at the CONMEBOL headquarters in Luque, Paraguay. The tournament will be hosted in Venezuela from September 6 to October 4, featuring ten national teams from CONMEBOL member associations, including Argentina, Brazil, and the host nation, Venezuela.

The competition format includes a preliminary group stage with two groups of five teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, while other teams will compete for placements ranging from 5th to 9th. Brazil holds the record with eight titles, while Argentina is the defending champion.

In Uruguay, the fixture draw for the Copa AUF Uruguay was held at the Centenario Stadium. The tournament features a new format including a preliminary group stage for professional teams and an elimination phase for amateur qualifiers. AUF President Ignacio Alonso and Executive Board President José Ramos attended the event, noting the competition's growing importance in Uruguayan football.
