Conmebol announces 2027 tournament pause for Women's World Cup

Conmebol has announced the 2027 men's football competition calendar, which includes a scheduled pause for the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sul-Americana to accommodate the FIFA Women's World Cup being hosted in Brazil.

The continental tournaments will be suspended from June 21 to July 20, 2027. Competition is set to resume on July 21 with the Sul-Americana playoffs. The Women's World Cup itself is scheduled to run from June 24 to July 25, 2027.

The 2027 Copa Libertadores final is slated for November 27, while the Copa Sul-Americana final will take place on November 20. Both will be single-match finals held at neutral venues. Additionally, the 2027 Recopa Sul-Americana matches are scheduled for February 17 and February 24.
