CONMEBOL launches TV production tender for 2027‑2030 club tournaments

The South American football federation (CONMEBOL) issued an Expression of Interest on 31 July 2026, with a deadline of 5 August 2026, inviting companies to submit proposals for the generation, uplink, and hub production and distribution of its club competitions – the Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Recopa – for the 2027‑2030 period. Interested firms must demonstrate experience in large‑scale sports broadcasting, be free of bankruptcy or insolvency, have no pending litigation with CONMEBOL and must not appear on U.S. OFAC sanctions lists.

Alejandro Domínguez, a Paraguayan sports executive, has served as CONMEBOL president since 2016. His tenure has focused on institutional reforms, financial transparency and modernising the continent’s tournaments after a major crisis in the mid‑2020s. Domínguez, aged 53, previously led Club Olimpia and the Paraguayan Football Association before taking the continental role.
