Connect Association promotes family-friendly workplace policies

The Connect Association, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is hosting an event at the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia titled ‘Family-Friendly Workplaces: Exchanging Best Practices from Champion Companies’.

The initiative aims to facilitate the exchange of successful gender-responsive family policies between companies in North Macedonia and Kosovo. The event includes a panel discussion featuring representatives from various organizations, including Comfy Angel, NLB Bank Skopje, Pharmachem, and FINCA Kosovo.

As businesses face challenges in attracting and retaining staff, the organizers emphasize that gender-responsive family policies serve as effective tools to boost productivity, employee satisfaction, and employer competitiveness. The event also promotes a new publication, ‘Family-Friendly Workplaces: A Manual of Measures That Work’, which serves as a practical resource based on real-world experiences and lessons learned from companies already implementing these models.
