Connected home medical monitoring devices to reach 160 million by 2030

Berg Insight forecasts that the global market for connected home medical monitoring devices will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.5 percent, reaching approximately 159.7 million units by 2030. As of 2025, the number of these devices reached 92.7 million worldwide.

The report specifies that these figures include devices used by patients in mHealth care programs but exclude general personal health tracking tools. The three primary applications driving this growth are sleep therapy, diabetes management, and remote monitoring of implantable cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices.

Sleep therapy remains the largest segment, led by ResMed, with additional involvement from Philips and BMC Medical. Diabetes management is the second-largest segment, with 19.5 million connections at the end of 2025, driven by continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin delivery systems from companies such as Abbott, Dexcom, and Insulet. The CRM market is currently led by Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and BIOTRONIK.
