Connie Palmen reaches number one on Bestseller 60 list

Connie Palmen’s novel ‘Johnnie Walker’ has debuted at the top position of the Bestseller 60 list for week 37 of 2026. Published by the CPNB, this marks Palmen’s ninth appearance on the bestseller list and her first time reaching the number one spot with a novel. The work, which the 70-year-old author describes as an autobiography, explores her youth in Limburg, her relationship with her mother, and her addiction to whisky.

Other notable entries in the top rankings include Yotam Ottolenghi’s ‘Even Simple’ in second place and Miljuschka Witzenhausen’s ‘Met Rust, Regelmaat, Recepten’ in third. The fiction rankings also feature titles such as ‘Yesteryear’ by Caro Claire Burke and ‘Lord M.’ by Arthur Japin.
