Connor Carver sets NSIC rushing record for Bemidji State
Bemidji State quarterback Connor Carver set a new Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) single-game rushing record during a 37-19 victory over Minot State. Amid rainy conditions, Carver rushed 36 times for 335 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 9.3 yards per carry.
Carver’s performance broke the previous NSIC record of 320 yards set by Gabriel Watson in 2008. He also surpassed the Bemidji State program record of 319 yards, which had been held by John Gronski since 1987. The team’s offensive strategy relied heavily on the ground game, with Bemidji State recording 405 total rushing yards and attempting only three passes throughout the game.
