Connor Hellebuyck trade discussions involve Sharks and other NHL teams

Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is the subject of ongoing trade discussions following his request to be moved. The three-time Vezina Trophy winner is currently sitting out of training camp as the Jets have yet to respond to his trade request.

Reports indicate that the San Jose Sharks have engaged in discussions regarding a potential swap. While the Sharks possess young goaltender Yaroslav Askarov, the addition of an elite veteran like Hellebuyck could bolster their recent roster additions.

Other potential suitors include the Buffalo Sabres, though trade complexities involving Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's no-trade clause may complicate deals. The New Jersey Devils have also been linked to the situation, though concerns regarding Hellebuyck's $8.5 million salary and his age remain significant factors for their management.
