CONOCER establishes competency management committee in Puebla
The National Council for Normalization and Certification of Labor Competencies (CONOCER) has integrated a Competency Management Committee with the state government to provide official validation for workers' skills. María Guillermina Alvarado Moreno, Director General of CONOCER, stated that the initiative aims to dignify professional trajectories, particularly for those without formal academic documentation.
Key programs include ‘Certificarte,’ which recognizes the expertise of traditional artisans and cooks, and ‘México reconoce tu experiencia,’ designed to accredit the capabilities of Mexican migrants living abroad. Additionally, the ‘Certificando para la libertad’ program will allow incarcerated individuals to validate their skills to assist in social reintegration.
The certification process is backed by the Secretariat of Public Education and offers international reach, aiming to preserve ancestral knowledge and promote shared prosperity in alignment with national and state government visions.
