Conor McGregor Out a Year, Eyes ‘Last Dance’ UFC Return in 2027

Conor McGregor suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his right knee during his return bout at UFC 329 in Las Vegas on 11 July 2026. He was stopped by a technical knockout 69 seconds into the fight by Max Holloway.

UFC president Dana White announced that McGregor will be sidelined for at least one year while he undergoes surgery and rehabilitation. On Instagram, McGregor posted a video captioned “IFW 2027 – The Last Dance,” indicating his intention to fight again at International Fight Week 2027, likely in a rematch with Holloway, and to make it the final fight of his current UFC contract.
