Conor McGregor urged to trust coaches ahead of UFC 329 comeback vs Max Holloway

MMA legend Georges St‑Pierre said Conor McGregor must stop trying to control every aspect of his preparation and let his coaches take charge as he returns after a five‑year hiatus. St‑Pierre warned that “you don’t control nothing” in the training environment and that McGregor should recreate the harsh conditions he will face in the Octagon.

McGregor is scheduled to fight Max Holloway at UFC 329 in Las Vegas on July 11, moving up to welterweight for his first bout since July 2021. The Irish fighter previously beat Holloway by unanimous decision in 2013, but his recent record includes only one win since 2016. St‑Pierre believes McGregor still has the talent to succeed if he embraces the guidance of his team and avoids trying to be the “boss” of his camp.
