Conor McGregor returns to UFC 329 to face Max Holloway in Las Vegas

Conor McGregor will fight Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11 at the T‑Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, marking his first Octagon appearance in five years after a severe leg injury. The Irish fighter has moved up to welterweight (170 lb) and appears in strong physical condition, as shown in recent photos taken at Laguna Beach and in a new pair of custom Venum “Money” shorts.

In interviews on Paramount and the Jim Rome show, McGregor dismissed fellow lightweight champion Justin Gaethje as “atrocious” when off his best, while Gaethje said a fight with McGregor would be lucrative and boost his legacy. The two exchanged barbs publicly, with Gaethje noting his recent knockout of Ilia Topuria and expressing interest in a future bout.

The UFC’s undercard has suffered several cancellations, but the McGregor‑Holloway main event remains intact. Matchmakers are searching for replacement opponents for other fights on the International Fight Week card.
