Conrad Thompson maintains Roman Reigns is overrated

Podcaster Conrad Thompson has reiterated his stance that WWE wrestler Roman Reigns is overrated, despite acknowledging the high quality of his recent performances. During an episode of ‘Something to Wrestle’ with co-host JBL, Thompson clarified that his criticism is not directed at Reigns’ in-ring ability, noting that he has enjoyed all six of the champion's matches this year.

Thompson argued that statistical achievements, such as Reigns’ record of main eventing multiple WrestleManias, do not necessarily equate to legendary status. He cited a lack of visible merchandise, stating he has never seen a Roman Reigns T-shirt in public, as evidence of his point. Furthermore, Thompson rejected comparisons between Reigns and Hulk Hogan, asserting that Reigns has not had a comparable impact on the industry and does not belong on a wrestling ‘Mount Rushmore.’

Thompson compared Reigns' current trajectory to Triple H, suggesting that while Reigns is a successful performer, he lacks the widespread cultural presence and recognition associated with the industry's most iconic figures.
