Xuxa Meneghel sues Andréa Sorvetão over property debt

A legal dispute has emerged between Brazilian presenter Xuxa Meneghel and her former 'Paquita', Andréa Sorvetão, regarding unpaid debts for a property in Rio de Janeiro. The lawsuit concerns approximately R$ 26,000 in accumulated property taxes and condominium fees related to an apartment provided to Sorvetão via a loan agreement starting in 2020.

The conflict escalated on social media when Conrado, Sorvetão’s husband, claimed he attempted to negotiate a payment plan that Xuxa refused to accept. This led to a public exchange where João Lucas, husband of Sasha Meneghel, called Conrado a “toupeira” (mole/fool) in defense of his mother-in-law. Conrado responded by highlighting his career achievements and noting that João Lucas's mother had previously supported him during past controversies.

Singer and presenter Mara Maravilha also weighed in, defending Sorvetão and Conrado. While acknowledging the legitimacy of debt collection, Maravilha criticized the public exposure of the matter, suggesting that using fame to humiliate others can cause damage far exceeding the financial value of the debt itself.
