Consejo Coordinador Empresarial doubles membership in Ciudad Juárez

The Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE) in Ciudad Juárez is undergoing a significant restructuring to strengthen private sector representation. The organization has doubled its membership to eight affiliates, with plans to potentially reach eleven. Recent additions include AMEXME, AMPI, Canacar, and EVM, joining existing members such as CMIC, Index, and the Central de Abastos.

This expansion follows a period of instability where several organizations, including Canacintra and the Association of Customs Agents, had previously left the council due to concerns over representation and the need for updated statutes.

Carlos Alberto Noé, president of Canacintra, attended a recent CCE meeting as a guest. While Canacintra had previously withdrawn from the council in early 2025, Noé indicated that the organization is open to rejoining, emphasizing that the needs of Ciudad Juárez must take precedence over personal leadership or organizational differences. CCE President Fernando Suárez Cerón expressed optimism regarding the new structure, stating the goal is to build a strong, pluralistic business sector to boost regional competitiveness.
