Conservative media outlets warn Trump against Putin and Xi summit

Conservative media allies, including the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post, have issued strong warnings to Donald Trump regarding a proposed trilateral summit with Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping. The meeting, suggested by the Russian President, was intended to take place next month during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Shenzhen, China.

The New York Post published an editorial urging Trump to reject the proposal, warning that participating would leave the United States “voluntarily outnumbered by our determined enemies.” The editorial characterized the potential meeting as a “Yalta 2” scenario that could trigger an uprising within the Republican Party.

Similarly, the Wall Street Journal criticized Trump’s shifting alliances, warning that such a summit could shatter domestic and international alliances. The publication expressed concern that a new triumvirate between the three leaders might attempt to “divide the globe into spheres of influence,” thereby undermining America’s global credibility.
