Conservative Party of BC restricts media access for election night
The Conservative Party of BC has issued a media advisory outlining strict access restrictions for its election night watch party in Vancouver. According to the advisory, media outlets will be confined to designated areas within the venue, and roaming cameras will be prohibited, with the exception of a single designated pool camera operator.
Party leader Lorne Doerkson will not participate in a media scrum on election night, regardless of the election results. The party stated that if they are in a position to form government, a media availability with the leader will be scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25.
