Conservative Party suspends Jack Ross over undercover allegations

The Conservative Party has suspended Jack Ross, a former election candidate and chief executive of Turning Point UK, following an undercover investigation by Al Jazeera. The documentary reportedly captured Ross discussing the arrangement of violent attacks for payment and offering to broker contact with an alleged far-right paramilitary associate.

Ross previously served as a junior external social media consultant in the office of Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch in 2025. Reports indicate that while his presence caused unease among some colleagues, his ability to generate high social media engagement may have influenced his continued involvement.

Kemi Badenoch described the allegations as “shocking” and confirmed that Ross is no longer a member of the party. An internal investigation has been launched, and police in Scotland have indicated they will review the broadcasted material. Ross has denied the findings, claiming his comments were not intended to be taken seriously.
