Conserve Italia hosts Open Day at Pomposa Smart Factory

More than 2,000 people attended an Open Day at the Pomposa Smart Factory, the primary production hub for Conserve Italia. The event was part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the cooperative consortium, which was founded on May 24, 1976.

Attendees included employees, their families, stakeholders, and local institutions. The visit highlighted the facility's transition toward a more automated, interconnected, and sustainable production model following recent investments. The plant is recognized as one of Europe's most significant facilities for vegetable processing.

Maurizio Gardini, president of Conserve Italia, noted that while the company has grown into a leading European canning entity, it maintains its identity as a cooperative supply chain that transforms raw materials from its producer members into 'made in Italy' brands. Notable attendees included Vincenzo Colla, Vice President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, and MEP Dario Nardella.
