Consorci d’Aigües de Tarragona invests 1.5 million euros in L’Ametlla de Mar
The Consorci d’Aigües de Tarragona (CAT) has commenced construction of a new underground gallery in L’Ametlla de Mar to improve access, safety, and maintenance conditions for its main pipeline. The project involves an investment of 1.5 million euros and is expected to take approximately eight months to complete.
The new 27-meter-long gallery will be built parallel to the existing one, featuring an interior width of eight meters and a height of three meters. The works also include the installation of 65 meters of carbon steel main piping with a 1,600 mm nominal diameter, as well as 72 meters of ductile iron piping for the L’Ametlla de Mar branch.
Acsa Obras e Infraestructuras has been awarded the contract to execute the works near the TV-3025 road, close to the AP-7 highway. To minimize impact on local mobility, traffic on the TV-3025 will remain normal for the first three weeks. Starting in the last week of November, a provisional alternative lane will be established to allow two-way circulation for the remainder of the project.
