Consorcio ARA founders seek to acquire 100% of company shares
The founding family of Consorcio ARA, Germán Ahumada Russek and Luis Felipe Ahumada Russek, has expressed their intention to launch a tender offer (OPA) to acquire up to 100% of the company's shares listed on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV).
The proposed offer aims to purchase all shares not currently held by the Ahumada family or their affiliates. The company stated that the tender offer would propose a price of approximately 5.63 pesos per share, representing a 20% premium over the weighted average price of the company's transactions over the last 30 trading days.
Despite the goal of acquiring the total capital stock, Consorcio ARA clarified that the intention is not to delist the company from the BMV or cancel its registration in the National Securities Registry. The official launch of the offer remains subject to regulatory and corporate authorizations and conditions.
