Consortium of Public Universities of NOA and Cuyo names new leadership

The Consortium of Public Universities of NOA and Cuyo has announced its new leadership. Natalia Albarez Gómez, rector of the Universidad Nacional de La Rioja (UNLaR), has been elected president. Joining her as secretaries are Marcelino Ledesma, rector of the Universidad Nacional de Santiago del Estero (UNSE), and Miguel Martín Nina, rector of the Universidad Nacional de Salta.

The consortium brings together eight national universities from the NOA and Cuyo regions, including institutions from Tucumán, Catamarca, Jujuy, Chilecito, and San Juan. The group aims to strengthen cooperation in public higher education and consolidate the region's academic identity.

Key objectives for the new administration include enhancing research related to regional issues, supporting researchers through the PRINUAR categorization processes, and expanding mobility and exchange programs for students, faculty, and staff among the member universities.
