Consorzio di Tutela Vini d’Irpinia to host 15 international wine ambassadors
From September 6 to 9, 2026, the Consorzio di Tutela Vini d’Irpinia will host 15 international wine professionals in the Irpinia region of Italy. These ambassadors, trained by the Vinitaly International Academy, represent various continents and will participate in a four-day program designed to showcase local wine denominations and the territory's cultural identity.
The itinerary includes technical deep dives, institutional meetings, and visits to production sites within the Fiano di Avellino DOCG, Greco di Tufo DOCG, and Taurasi DOCG areas, as well as the broader Irpinia DOC. The program aims to provide professionals with direct knowledge of how soil, altitude, and climate influence local viticulture.
In addition to wine, the event will highlight Irpinia's gastronomy, local traditions, and historical heritage. A key institutional event is scheduled for the afternoon of September 8, focusing on promotional initiatives developed in synergy with provincial and regional entities, including the Province of Avellino.
