Consorzio DOC Delle Venezie named Official Wine for Venicemarathon 2026

The Consorzio DOC Delle Venezie has announced it will serve as the Official Wine for the 40th edition of the Wizz Air Venicemarathon, scheduled for October 25, 2026. The partnership aims to promote the Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie brand by linking Italian viticulture with international sporting events.

The marathon is expected to host approximately 24,000 runners from 124 countries, with international participants accounting for 55% of the total. The race route, which stretches from the Riviera del Brenta to the Venice Lagoon, traverses landscapes central to the identity of the wine's production areas, including Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Stefano Sequino, director of the Consorzio DOC Delle Venezie, stated that the participation offers an opportunity to strengthen the denomination's visibility through contemporary communication and cross-sector engagement.
