Consorzio Produttori Indipendenti celebrates five-year creative surge with triple album
Massimo Zamboni announced the release of the triple‑album set "In viaggio 1994‑1998", describing it as a compendium of the Consorzio Produttori Indipendenti’s (CPI) history. The collection spans five years of activity that the collective’s members regard as a "miracle", encompassing five full albums, numerous concerts, travel ventures, books, films and a wide range of collaborations.
The CPI, founded as a cultural laboratory rather than a conventional record label, fostered close ties among musicians, writers and filmmakers. In its short span it produced records for artists such as Marlene Kuntz, Üstmamò, Disciplinatha, Yo Yo Mundi, Miraspinosa, Santo Niente and Ulan Bator, illustrating the breadth of its ecosystem and its impact on the Italian independent music scene.
