The County Council of Constanța, through the County Cultural Center “Teodor T. Burada”, invited the public to the opening of the fifth edition of the exhibition “Old Book – New Book” at the Jean Constantin Multifunctional Youth Center on July 30 2026. The 2026 edition, titled “1001 Nights – Oriental Culture”, showcases rare volumes, art albums, iconography, travel books and Qur’an editions, illustrating the dialogue between Eastern and Western civilizations. Project coordinator Dr. Laura Abibula Stroe highlighted the exhibition’s aim to revive the imagination, spirituality and knowledge embodied in the legendary tales of One Thousand and One Nights.
The exhibition is produced in partnership with the Ioan N. Roman County Library, the Ioan Popișteanu University Library of Ovidius University, the National History and Archaeology Museum of Constanța, the Democratic Union of Turco‑Tatar Muslims of Romania, and the Cărturești bookstore chain, assembling valuable items from each institution’s documentary and cultural heritage.
