Constanța to host 2026 National Dinghy Championship
The Romanian Yachting Federation (FRY) will host the 2026 National Dinghy Championship at the Tomis Tourist Harbor in Constanța from August 25 to 30. The event will feature athletes from six different clubs.
Notable participants include Ebru Bolat, a competitor from the 2024 Olympic Games and a regular on the international ILCA circuit. The competition is expected to provide high-level technical experience for younger Romanian sailors.
To ensure safety, the event will utilize one of the most extensive safety deployments to date, including 11 high-speed rescue boats operating in coordination with the Constanța Harbor Master’s Office and the Coast Guard. The venue was selected following a survey where 76% of athletes, parents, and coaches expressed a preference for the Black Sea location.
